Bigger Trees

If you have a larger landscape, you might want to consider adding trees that will be larger and give you shade, as well as a total landscape makeover.  Here are some trees that you might put on your shopping list.  American Beech is a great choice.  It has beautiful color during the fall with its bronze foliage and has beautiful silverish bark.  They grow in zones three to ten and grow large and  have a spread as large as forty feet.  They also produce beech nuts that give the local wildlife a source of food.  It grows slow and is well worth the wait. The soil conditions that it can grow in are a variety. Another great choice is the Bur Oak.  It is a long living tree that produces acorns for your local wildlife critters.  It can grow anywhere from seventy to eight feet with a spread just as wide.  It grows in zone two to eight and is normally grown for the shade it provides.  It loves full sunlight and can grow in a variety of soil conditions.  The Tuliptree is also a great option.  It grows fast and can reach heights of anywhere from seventy to ninety feet tall with a spread as large as forty feet. It thrives in zone three to nine and loves full sunlight conditions.  It is commonly used for an ornamental tree.  The White Oak is also a prime choice.  It is stately in its appearance and has beautiful red coloration in the fall months of the year.  It grows in hardy zones three to nine and can grow as tall as fifty to eighty feet tall with a spread just as large in optimal conditions.  It adapts to many soils and will look amazing in your landscape.  Try adding one of these larger trees to your landscape and enjoy the shade and beauty it will provide any area you place it.  Planting bigger trees is a great way to make a statement.
